Creating Strokes with Layer Shading in Anime Studio 6

Sometimes you need a stroke around a group of layers inside a bone layer or other group. For example the stroke around a head or face that turns. The nose may protrude on either side of the face as the head turns but not have a stroke on the shape, breaking the continuity of the design of the character or the style you want to achieve. You could use multiple shapes on different layers in a layer or you could use masking. However there is a fairly simple way to do this using Shadows | Shading in the layer settings tab.

This tutorial shows how to use Layer Shading to create a stroke to match the shape stroke to maintain a consistent stroke around a group of layers.
