This button or menu script can be used to quickly and efficiently change the names of bones that have similar "extensions" or text in the bone name or to add or remove an extenstion to multiple bones in one step.
Installation
Method 1 - Button installation
Unzip and place both files into the scripts\tools\ directory of you Anime Studio installation directory. Open the _tool_list.txt file in a text editor. Add the following line of text as the last item under the "Group bones" section:
button hv_bonerenamer ...
Be sure to include the "..." at the end. If you wish to use a keyboard shortcut replace the "..." with the letter of you choice. Make sure it is not already in use by another tool in the _tool_list.txt file.
Method 2 - Scripts Menu item (Anime Studio Pro only!)
Unzip and place the hv_bonerenamer.lua file ONLY into the scripts\menu\ directory of you Anime Studio installation directory. If you like you can create a new folder in the menu folder to place this script into.
Usage Instructions
To start, select all the bones you wish to rename and then either select the rename bones script from the scripts menu (AS Pro) or click the button depending on how you installed it. You can either add text to the end of the bone name or replace text in the bone name.

When first launching the rename bones script this is the default settings. |

To "append" or add text or an extension to the name of each selected bone, type it into the box and click OK. |

Checking the "Replace" check box now shows another box for entering search text to replace. |

Type the text you want to replace in the "Search for..." box and in the "Replace with..." box type the text you want to replace it with or leave this box empty to remove the text. |
